UNISA are interested in understanding your university experiences so far. They are especially interested in the experiences of students who are originally from outside of South Africa, which is why they have contacted you. Understanding your experiences with UNISA so far can help support their goal to improve your adjustment to university life. Therefore, they invite you to participate in a research study by completing a questionnaire (link is below).
As a thank you for completing the questionnaire, you will have a chance to win one of ten mobile data prizes worth 100 South African Rand in your local currency. In addition, you will be sent a detailed report about your results, including resources for increasing your success during university.
Please have your UNISA Student ID number ready to participate and follow this link:
https://openss.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9mnBR6x8eshQujz
The questionnaire should take you approximately 15 minutes. After the questionnaire, some students may be contacted about participating in a short, optional interview. For more information about the study, please visit: http://bit.ly/2fKSnj3. If you have any further questions, you can always contact Unisa at: UNISA, Prof A Gunter, gunteaw@unisa.ac.za Tel: 0114713390.

After waiting for a day, the results are in.
We will stop @UnisaGroupsBot from replying in groups.
Please note three things:
1. This does not mean the bot will not work, you just need to talk to it in private (you can click its name to start a chat)
2. You might need to tell your friends sending commands into groups to please delete their message and send it to the bot in private
3. The command /admin
will still work in groups, as it is there to report spammers (etc)
EDIT: sorry about /search still replying, it has been fixed

Remember that Unisa announcements are only official if they come from the Unisa website. Documents distributed in groups are not guaranteed to be official, regardless of any Unisa logos etc.
Regarding exams and such, please read this announcement:
Furthermore, a simple & useful way to check your exam timetables, is to use the /examtimetable
command together with your module code, in a private chat with @UnisaGroupsBot
The bot fetches those dates from Unisa's website, and you should see that it matches the timetables that have been emailed to each of you in the form of a PDF.
These is no need to speculate or be misled by rumors. π #StudyHard #ExamsAreComing

Unisa article regarding the exam changes
A quick notice: If anyone sees "Tutorials Campus" or "Nicholas Shoniwa" or anyone advertising their services, please immediately report them to the admins (in the group send /admin found the spammer!
).
This business is known for bad practice and will sign you up for spam SMSs if they get hold of your phone number. Rather stay away from such shady people and tell us immediately if you see anyone sharing adverts on their behalf. *Also, please tap on their message and then tap "Report"*
Thank you and we wish all the best in your exam revision
Some of the main points from the announcement above:
- Exams from 7-18th May have an optional exam in 18-29 June
- you may only write one of the two exams
- You will most likely write at the same venue
- There is no need to contact Unisa to tell them which exam you want to write
- You should receive an email tomorrow (5th May) with an updated timetable showing the optional paper 2s
- You can also view your timetable on
my.unisa.ac.za ->My admin->exam timetable

Please note:
Unisa generally does NOT release memos for past exams, so there is no use asking/searching for them.
Make good use of these groups by working through past exam papers with your peers and discussing the answers.
For clear direction of how Unisa want the exam papers answered, refer to the example exam and its memo or the self assessment and memo, which most modules typically release.
